Geneva says so many things that either make me completely laugh or feel all warm and giddy inside from the cuteness. Oftentimes, it is both.
Last night was one of those times:
She asked for a scrambled egg and when I reached into the fridge to pull out an egg, she absolutely lit up with excitement and said how happy she was that I had bought eggs. She must have been pretty moved because she said, "Mom! I want to get up and give you a hug!" and then came over to give me a huge thank you/happiness hug all because we had eggs. Such simple pleasures ;)
This afternoon, as she was finishing her lunch, she told me, "Mom, I want some ketchup." When I told her we did not have any, she asked, "What do you have then, ranch?" Sorry, but no to both. This momma doesn't do condiments, as she will come to learn.
A house down our street is in the process of getting a second story added on to it. When we walked by it yesterday, Geneva said, "Mom, I want those people to come and put a big house on top of our little house."
Geneva is in a major princess phase right now and often declares that her name is "CinderellaBelleThumbelinaTinkerbelleFrogPrincess"
(I'd really like to do a better job of recording some of these cute things, so I will probably adding to this post.)
More:
Yesterday morning (5/31/12), Geneva was resisting having the top of her dress buttoned, so I responded with, "Ok Liberace" to which she replied, "I'm not Liberace, I'm a princess and I'm going to princess school." I guess princesses have the freedom to leave their tops unbuttoned if they want to... ?? (3 year olds are hilarious in their logic!)
