Here is a fossil I found from the cretaceous period (about 145 million years ago) along the side of the interstate.
Gram and Gramps came to visit for Grandparent's day at Geneva's school. They drove a long way in a short period of time just to be with her for a few hours. Both girls loved having them and I know Geneva was especially proud to show them her classrooms (including last year's).
Cec and Gram having a moment.
It was really hard to get the girls to look happy for a picture. Cecily kept trying to throw herself backward in a tantrum and Geneva was struggling to get down and run off.
Cecily was helping Greg put clothes in the washing machine.
Stella wanted to make sure she did not get left behind during our Thanksgiving trip. She slept in my suitcase the night before.
Our first Santa picture of the year.
Geneva takes her cookie decorating VERY seriously.
We had 81 continuous hours of below-freezing temps (nearly a record for us) and many people lost their electricity. End result was lots of fun time from friends who visited and stayed the night with us. === Geneva's first sleep-over (with her friend Alex). These two were up very late and ultimately bribed to quietness (and eventually sleep) with chocolate chip pancakes the following morning.
It was hard to get pictures over Thanksgiving, but we went to visit my parents and Bethany got to come also. Both girls were coloring in the same book.
As a special treat, several of us went to The Nutcracker at the Majestic Theater (built in 1929) in San Antonio and is was a terrific experience. I'll have to get someone to send me a photo so I can post it. I think mom enjoyed having somewhere to wear her Sable coat.
We also took the kids to a museum.
And spent a morning at a Farmer's Market
Uncle "Natey" did not enjoy the walk to the museum as much as Geneva did.
Geneva bee-lined it for the crafts at the museum.
Not sure if you can see it or not, but she was pretending to be a pirate last night and wrote the word "tellescop" She is constantly writing and drawing.
