Guadalupe mountains

Yesterday my dad and brother and I took the six hour round trip Drive to Guadalupe national park where hiked to the tallest summit in Texas. The 3000ft elevation climb took us a little over three hours to go up and over two to get down. It was a gorgeous hike that took us through rock, pine trees, and even snow (of course we were in the desert!) we were exhausted on the ride home which made for a long drive. I'm a little achy today and hopefully the worlds biggest blisters will heal soon.
I have now hiked to the two tallest peaks in Texas. The west Texas mountain ranges are really a unique experience if you ever get the chance.
