Last week, when asked, Geneva pointed to her nose, head, eye, and mouth. All for a little audience and without messing up. I was impressed!
She also followed directions when I told her to take off her socks and "get the other shoe," no hand gestures or other cues involved.
She is learning to ask for things by saying and signing “please” or “more.”
She loves bubbles and will bring them to us while saying, “bubbles.” She does the same thing with “shoes,” and will either bring us hers or our shoes.
Today, she started calling Stella by name.
She repeats or tries to say many things that we say, especially when we are looking at books.
Oh, and she is also learning the sign for “finished” and will make it with one hand if I say it.
Knowing where she came from (hello, tiny helpless infant), this is
just so amazing to me.
