Easter 2012

Easter this year was a very fun and special day for Geneva.  She was excited about getting to wear her pretty dress and was very quiet and patient in church.  Since we went to the morning service, we waited until afterward to let her find the basket that the Easter Bunny brought her.  She enjoyed finding candy and the fun toys- her favorites being the slinky and chocolate chapstick.  (FYI- chapstick is one of the surest ways into her good graces)  Just after that, her uncle Tracy and aunt Clarissa came over and brought her another basket of goodies- including some Mexican confetti eggs ("Cascarones") that she waited all day to try out.  It was then time for brunch with a group of local relatives.  We spent the middle part of the afternoon playing in the house and finishing putting up the wall hangings in her room.  Later on, she enjoyed a Easter Egg hunt at a local park and playing with some of her friends.  She finally got to crack those eggs.  After a bath and phone calls to faraway relatives, she was a very tired girl with very tired parents.

After church, this is how Geneva put her headband on while in the car:

Heartfelt thank yous to friends and relatives who made the day extra special for her. :)
