Geneva 2 years, 11 months

We have a two year old for 1 more month!  Almost-Three Geneva has been very busy lately.  At any given time, she is dressing up like one of her favorite Disney Princess characters (or actually, as she puts it- she is "turning into" the princess du jour), pretending to drive or fly to see her relatives in Pennsylvania, Illinois, or Missouri, attending made-up birthday parties, signing songs, counting (to 11), identifying letters (M and W are still tricky), "reading" books, helping her daddy with outside watering, feeding the fish, cooking dinner in her kitchen, taking her babies for walks (or putting them in time-out for various offenses), Talking about things she and "baby sister" are going to do together, or "helping" mommy cook things.  She is a very fun, active, independent little lady who is always ready to play, take walks, do jobs around the house, or run errands.  She pulls various step-stools around the house to make sure she is "big" enough to do it all.

As we (slowly) prepare our house for baby sister, Geneva has helped me move her closet to another room and slept in her "new room" last night for the first time.  Last night was also the first night Greg and I were brave enough to let her wear underwear to bed.  She has been ready for awhile, so we thought the moving of beds would be a good time to transition.  Now, if only I could get her to use the bathroom that is 5 feet from her bed rather than waking me up in the middle of the night to use mine. ;)

Here are some pictures of what Miss Busy-Bee has been up to lately:

Making T's out of pieces of dry pasta

Getting a sassy new haircut

Putting her baby in time out for hitting

Dressing up with a blanket as a dress

Always ready to strike a pose

Riding a horse at a local fair

Eating chocolate!

Dressing up with her friend, Lyla

Sitting on a tractor with Lyla

Cracking up laughing and dancing hilariously

Driving a Jeep at Gram and Gramps' house.  Trust me- we are a LOOOONG way from being ready to drive.  Lets just say Geneva was doing good to even be looking in the direction of where she was moving, and that is if her head was not below the steering wheel or laying on a pillow beside her.

Having fun with cousin Emily during her visit

Dressing to the nines- DAILY

Eating yummy cupcakes at Taylor's bday party

Looking cool and striking a pose with her friend Taylor
