Any Sewers/Crafters Out There?

Since before Geneva was born, I have been thinking about how much I’d love for her to have a handmade Christmas stocking.  I grew up with a beautiful stocking and I’d like to carry a similar tradition into our family.

Here’s the problem—I’m short on natural skills and time.

Sew (yes, pun intended), I was just curious about whether or not there is anyone out there who 1. Loves Geneva; 2. Would like to do something special for her; and 3. Has the time and ability to make her a special stocking.

Mama is not picky and after doing lots of searches on the internet and just through experience, I know there are a million different ways to accomplish this task.

So, here I am- not ashamed to beg- for the sake of my little darling baby girl to have a special stocking made with love and care just for her.

After all, we’d hate for her to end up with a paper bag as a stocking ;)

Bucilla felt stocking kits - they have a bunch to choose from and can be purchased from Amazon.com. Scale of difficulty 2. Although I'm having his name embroidered because the stitch that they have you use for the "Name" wasn't working out. Other than that everything was simple enough although as I said in my blog -the stocking is far from perfection and my stitching stinks. But it turned out cute anyways. I have little time as well and just worked on it little by little (10-15 minutes a night) for about a month and got it done. Good luck! I'm making one for my hubby too and rounded up my mom to sew one for me!
