Girl’s Night

Last night G and I were home alone together and this is what we did: ate in between fits of screaming, blow-dried our hair, and put on the worlds most difficult pajamas.  All the while, Geneva seems to have some kind of minor eye infection, which we are taking her to the doctor for today.

Drying my hair with Geneva on the floor in a childseat was no problem since I gave her a big hair band to play with (er, put into her mouth).  If hair grosses you out, you might think this was a bad idea, but it was the nearest and safest thing I had to appease her.

Geneva was then apparently so hungry after the hair drying experience that she began screaming the second I put her into her high chair and only stopped when she had bites of food in her mouth.  I fed her at lightning speed to satisfy her vast hunger.  Two night ago I was trying to sign “more” between bites, but last night there was not time for such civilized attempts.

Before bed, I put G into these cute jammies that used to be mine when I was a baby.  But, I noticed something odd about them—they snap in the back.  After five minutes of wrestling, we both felt like screaming (but only one of us did).

No worries though, this cranky baby happily ate one more time and then was in a great mood as we sat and looked at the Christmas tree.  And once again, I’m infinitely happy that I have such a wonderful husband with whom to share the joys and trials of parenthood.

Here’s a picture of those crazy pajamas and the irritated little girl inside them.
