8 Months?!

Just like every other month, I am again shocked at how big she is getting.  We’re not just talking big though, we are talking rascally and quick (!) as she makes her way through the house on her hands and knees.  Geneva now resembles more of toddler than a baby as she navigates her world, exerts her will, and pulls up to her knees.  It is truly hilarious watching this tiny little person move across the room.

For the full update: She is eating lots of different foods including broccoli, green beans, peas, carrots, raw apple and pear, and puffed rice cereal.  Geneva loves feeding herself finger foods to the point of refusing her mushy stuff (where I sneak all the healthy stuff), so we have to keep this in balance.  Geneva says mama and dada and has used both in a meaningful way on a few occasions.  She loves the dog and will go toward her, obviously making Stella nervous.  I am trying to teach her “gentle” patting rather than pulling her hair.  Speaking of hair, our little eight ball is sprouting more hair all over her head- completely filling in her bald spot in back and getting longer all over.  We’re still no where close to wearing bows though.  Oh and as of a few days ago, Geneva now drinks through a straw.  She still loves being read to, eating her books (and everything for that matter), music, and when her parents are silly with her.  She really likes peek a boo and basically all interactive games.

Here is the little pumpkin in a rain coat I got for her—I just couldn’t resist :)

Wow! She's doing great! I wish mine would drink thru a straw...it would majorly help. And mama is not in his vocabulary! Grrrr. Don't they just get cuter and cuter! Soon she'll be up and walking!
