No, I’m not pregnant again; that is how old Geneva is today. ;)
We don’t go for the well check until the end of the month, so I don’t know exact height and weight.
But here is what I do know:
- drinks from a straw (even a hard one that you have to pinch at the top)
- loves finger foods; eats a huge variety of foods
- pulls up to everything, even one handed
- can “walk” with a slow moving object (e.g. a sliding box across carpet)
- crawls quickly and quietly to things she is not supposed to get into (e.g. dog water!)
- says “mama” and “dad” in response to seeing us or hearing our voices
- is beginning to clap for herself
- always turns and looks toward her name
- has good joint attention
- loves her belly to be kissed and chin to be tickled and anticipates such (those last three are for my fellow school psychs)
- holds and turns the pages of a board book (still rough with paper pages)
- does a straight handed wave and says “hi”
- has one tooth that took f.o.r.e.v.e.r. to come in and is working on another (though at this rate it may be another 2 months)
- sleeps 10 hours per night with two-three naps per day
- has a favorite type of blanket that she manages to keep over her perfectly despite moving all over her crib
- is learning to pet the dog "gently" instead of grabbing fistfuls of hair
- attempts to say ‘doggie’ which sounds kind of like “daaa”
- stops when she hears ‘no’
Here’s Geneva as she goes from sitting still for a half second to coming at me and trying to get the camera.
