Snow Day

More in line with the rest of the country's weather, we had some cold temps and snow (about 3 inches, I think) overnight and this morning. Needless to say, school was cancelled for the day.

The Good News: I get to spend the day indoors with Geneva and got some major cleaning done during her morning nap in preparation for my mom coming (hopefully she'll make it in tonight as planned). I think I'll even be able to make dinner during her afternoon nap.

The Bad News: We will be making this day up on Memorial Day. We are already using Good Friday for our first snow day. What is that? You think it is strange to use these national holidays this way? Well, this is the district that had Labor Day scheduled as a regular work/school day last year.



Oh, and before you go cancelling your travel plans to beautiful, sunny West Texas-- hold off. It will be back up to 50 tomorrow and the rest of the week. :)
