It was a weekend of highs, lows, and fast winds.

I don't really know how to describe this weekend, but I'm not exactly sure how it all happened within such a short span of time.

Friday night, we babysat for my co-worker's daughter. She is 5 weeks older than Geneva and they are about the same size, both blonde headed, and just c.u.t.e. together.

Saturday, I woke up (on my own) at 4:30am to prepare for that day's farmer's market and (to learn how) to work on the website. (A basic form of it already exists, but it is rough and too plain. I'll post the site when I've made more progress.) Sooo... I am starting a children's educational activity center/table at the market so that parents will have a safe place to park their kiddos while they shop. The morning was cold (for Midland, which had a high in the 60's later that day) and WINDY and it was c-r-a-z-y trying to keep all the little art supplies in one place. The poor children too, they were nearly blowing away along with their plastic bottles and coloring pages. I asked someone if it is always that windy, and the answer "yes" was not very encouraging. Something about the market's location in a WIND TUNNEL might be the reason. For the next activity, I am seriously considering "pet rocks" or something that at least involves heavy or large materials. (((Let me know if you have any ideas for me)))

Later on Saturday, after trying but failing to take a nap during Geneva's, I walked into my closet to discover water under-foot. Everytime I took a step, water seeped up to the surface of the carpet. Yikes! The culprit: The water heater just outside the closet that heats the water for our bathroom. We have the carpet pulled back and fans going non-stop, but the floor is still very damp. ??? We'll see how it goes. Worst case scenario is that we'll have to get new padding for this small space.

Today, Tracy came over to buy and install the new water heater. Even though it is not quite right yet (i.e. not functional), he scores major points for effort. He'll be back later in the week to finish the job. THANK YOU, Brother!

In all this craziness, I didn't make it to the gym for the entire weekend! In my last week of the "challenge," I'm going to have to step it up and get in 8+ miles of running/elliptical and 50 miles of biking to FINISH!

Yay for my mom coming to visit on Tuesday! :)

Here are few pictures of our weekend:

Taylor was really liking Greg Friday night.

1/2 way into one of G's favorite activities: Pulling up on mom.
Geneva is really loving this pink monkey. And, she loves this teething toy that is shaped like a big pacifier.

My wet foot prints in the closet.

Where Tracy spent the better part of the day. Thank you!
